How to install your eSIM
You can install before you leave (ideally on Wi-Fi). Days start counting only when you arrive and first connect to a local network.
iPhone
- After payment, open “My eSIMs” (on the website or in the App).
- iOS 17.4 or later: tap “Install Automatically” and follow the system's “Add eSIM” screens.
- Other versions: go to Settings → Cellular (Mobile Service) → Add eSIM → Use QR Code and scan the QR code shown on another device, or choose Enter Details Manually and enter the SM-DP+ address and activation code.
- You can label the line “Travel” and keep your usual number as the Default Line.
- When you arrive: in Settings → Cellular, select this eSIM, turn on Data Roaming, and switch Cellular Data to this eSIM.
Android
- After payment, open “My eSIMs”. The FUSION eSIM App installs it in one tap; on the website, tap “Copy install code”.
- Go to Settings → Network & internet (Connections on Samsung) → SIMs → Add eSIM, choose “Use activation code”, and paste the full install code (it starts with
LPA:1$). - You can also choose “Scan QR code” and scan the QR code shown on another device. A phone can't scan a QR code on its own screen.
- When you arrive: turn on Data Roaming for this eSIM and set it as the SIM for mobile data.
Before you install
- The install code works only once. If you delete the eSIM, it can't be reinstalled or reissued.
- Data Roaming is needed to connect to the local carrier and incurs no extra roaming charges.
- For plans marked “ID registration”, follow the steps in “My eSIMs” to register your ID yourself on the carrier's official website.
